I have many memories of growing up watching Tyne Tees, would be good to see some of the North's home-grown heroes like Lindisfarne and Brendan Foster featured - especially as they were always prominently featured in the news back in the 70s. Alan Price performing a local version of Don't stop The Carnival, think he changed the lyric from England to Stockton...
Great shows like The Paper Lads, The Geordie Scene, Friday Live!(I think Doris stokes used to be on that every other week!) Razzmatazz (whatever happened to Alaistair Perrie?) and Northern Life (I think there was a show before that called Today at Six!) presenters like Paul frost, Tom Coyne, Neville Wanless, Pat Doody, Bill Steele, Lyn Spencer, Annie St John, Lucy Meacock, Cathy Secker, Wincey Willis doing the weather... Mark Page doing a pop music slot on Northern Life... the list goes on... keep us updated on this James because I'd certainly be interested in catching it!

How about showing the goals when Darlington knocked Middlesbrough out of the cup in 84? Purely from a biased perspective

Thanks Simon, I forgot Lisa Stansfield also presented Razzmatazz!!
Another Tyne Tees memory I have was that during the 70s we always got our own Saturday morning TV programmes (including reruns of Batman with Adam West) while the rest of the country seemed to get their own shows - (I think ATV had something called TISWAS!!!!). Our slot was always presented bravely by Lyn Spencer who would read out birthdays and present competitions in a slot called Lyn's Apple if I remember rightly (why they called it that - i have no idea).
I remember Lyn holding a competition one week for young viewers to send in drawings of Batman. I spent hours doing mine as I'm sure many others did and I remember a few weeks later the winning example was a parody of Batman ripping his tights while chasing a criminal sent in by a kid who'd obviously traced it out of a recent edition of Krazy comic!
Bitter memories!

The Rehearsal Room with the Animals and Dave Hamilton would be great in the best possible quality.
