I recently came across,on some old Betamax tapes, all the episodes of Shirley Bassey's second series for the BBC,broadcast in 1979,according to IMDB,and i was wondering if the BBC still had them in their archive. These shows are probably not of much interest to most of the posters on this forum but i thought i would ask anyway !

Not at all! We're interested in saving anything that may be missing (and Bassey has a great voice!) I would guess that the shows - being '79 - do still exist in full at the BBC (although I can't be certain of this). Can Andrew Martin confirm this before you throw away your tapes? Andrew?

They all exist and you can double-check that on www.lostshows.com without any technical hitches if you are unsure. Only one show from 1972 doesn't exist. Hope that helps. c

I'm curious to know if she had any interesting musical guests on these 1979 shows? Any chance you could give us some more info? Thanks.
A DVD release of her 70's shows would be great.
