Well the BBC have included missing soundtracks on Dad's Army DVD releases (though admittedly three of these were Radio Re-recordings). The Dad's Army Christmas specials DVD includes a Christmas Night With The Stars sketch in soundtrack only and similarly the Doctor Who Lost In Time Set also features some programmes in soundtrack only.
I'm not sure you would get much interest from the BBC until someone realises what a great idea releasing Dixon Of Dock Green on DVD is, but its worth the purchase if you become the caretaker of this show until the Beeb decide to get these shows out there.
There is also the possibility that if the recording is good enough quality it could be released as an audio too, so there are some possibilities...

Saw that the auction has ended, not familiar with the buyer however, am hoping it is someone who would be willing to loan the tape out if needed, would hope so as would hope about the stated ideas that it would make a great audio reconstruction on a future DVD release ( Whenever that may be ??). Better to have something than nothing at all.
Cheers, Lance.

Thought it went really cheaply at £13.51, did think it would get more than this, and more interested parties, shame, wish I'd bid now.

Its always worth putting a bid in, even if you think its small, I put a tenner in for a rare interview with somebody a few years back and was pleasantly surprised when i won it for under £3! I was even more surprised when the tape turned up and iit was what it said on the package, needless to say I promptly made a copy of it!
