Found this site earlier, could be usefull now BBC Programme Catalogue has finished.

Its no way complete, hardly started, it needs people with old Radio Times/Tv Times etc to input the schedule for the dates, it could be very good if enough people contribute listings.

The Times Digital Archive is now free to view, that covers virtually everything up to December 1985.
