I can't remember whether this drama was a series or a play. It must have been around 1971/72 when it was broadcast.

I remember the complaints that came in afterwards about how it encouraged Scottish nationalism.

Does anyone remember it?

It was a 5 part serial shown 11/5/73 to 8/6/73, made by BBC Scotland, adapted from the novel by Douglas Hurd and Andrew Osmond, and starred Bill Simpson, Maria Aitken and Iain Cuthbertson. Only episodes 1, 4 and 5 exist now.
