Noticed this on a radio thread but doesnt seem to be answered. Does The TV Version starring Tony Vogel still survive?

I can confirm that all of them survive in the official archives.

I enjoyed it at the time, though the low budget was evident. I don't know what happened to star Tony Vogel, though James Cosmo is still going strong.

according to the IMDB he was still making films up to last year so he seems to be ok, I do remember seeing him in a early 70s spagetti western a few months ago with lee van cleef (Captain Apache I think)http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0900963/ he seems to be a multi linguist but them germans can do a very good posh english accent the two being very similar. slightly OT but was Year of the sex olympics a theatre 625 ?

As a child, this was my favourite TV show HANDS DOWN. After a LOT of searching, I was able to find the opening sequence to one of the eps of Dick Barton - Special Agent on the web, and have posted it on Youtube so that hopefully it may find a wider audience.

Well, the Southern drama archive has just been sold to a (relatively small) new company which is keen to do things with it, so you could well see some Southern DVDs coming out soon.
I don't want to name the company, though, as they have not announced their new aquisition yet. It's best to give them the space to sort things out and do things in their own time.
I myself have lots to ask them, but don't want to hassle them with emails at this stage.
The main thing is that they seem keen to locate and preserve these long-neglected titles.

Thats good to know Simon, I don't recall seeing many Southern Shows turning up on either video or DVD (except for Worzel Gummidge!).
Please keep us posted if you hear of any developments!
