Most of the UK television sites now seem to be abandoned and falling to pieces, in some of them you can see the keeness and hope of 1998 and then the loss of interest around 2003.
but this could be true of the whole internet now? thank goodness for missing episodes eh?

It's a great shame that some of those (originally) very useful sites have now fallen into decline and neglect. It would be good to think that a lot of the good material from them could be incorporated into a new one eventually; I expect there are only so many hours in the day people can devote to this hobby but if it was managed originally...

I suspect it is a matter of time and finance.
A considerable amount of effort is needed to produce a 'blog' web-site, and, if it is only one person running such a site, other situations may come into play that prevent continuation.
I think there are still enough web sites that offer a good service , e.g. 'British-TV-History' and 'The Mausoleum Club' as well as 'Missing Episodes', which continue, not least, because of the need for information on television's past (hardware and programming).
