I'd really like to know if anyone else remembers this or has any idea what it could be.... I have a vivid memory of seeing a short film (or maybe a clip from a longer film) featuring the following: It was in Black and white, and in a factory type area with 2 huge printing press style rollers; Some guy in charge (scientist type) and his female assistant were feeding naked women through the rollers: they came out the other end flattened 2 dimensional, much bigger, and dead. It seemed they were being made into some bizzare kind of porn After doing quite a few women like this the scientists clothed female assistant also fell in the rollers and was flattened like the rest. These images were incredibly disturbing to my young 5-7 year old self, and have always stuck in my mind. I would have seen this sometime mid to late 80s, 85-88ish I guess. Anyone have ANY diea what this was? It was on terrestial British TV around that time, surely must've been Channel 4

Don't know but reckon you were too young to be allowed to watch it!

This is the sort of clip that would've been on Jonathan Ross' Incredibly Strange Films series on C4 around that time. A possibility?

Im a big fan of trashy cinema in general. Do you know what country it was from? Or seemed to be from? It sounds a bit like the sort of thing that comes out of Turkey and Indonesia. But from your description I cant be sure, just sounds like the sort of weird thing they would make! If you can remember any more details about where it was made etc, I can ask a few mates who are trash hounds of the first order if it will help you sleep more easy

This is a long shot, but it could have been an Austrian film called 'Anima - Symphonie phantastique' (1981), written and directed by Titus Leber. I taped this off Channel 4 and it certainly features a scene with a naked woman on a conveyor belt. I don't recall much else about it, alas, and my VHS recording is long gone.

Sounds a bit like Ted V. Mikels' "The Corpse Grinders"... www.imdb.com/title/tt0068414/...although the bit about them coming out 2-dimensional doesn't happen in the film - it's more of a rubbish mincey sludge which then gets fed to cats. And "disturbing" isn't the word you'd use to describe it - more like "underfunded and laughable"...! Suffice it to say, it's not as good as the poster. Oh, and it's in colour - but strangely washed out cheap 16mm colour, which could like black and white. However, there was a segment of Ross's "Incredibly Strange Film Show" on Mikels in 1988, although I seem to recall it might have only taken up one half of the show as there really wasn't much to say about him. Any use?
