hey there. im 19 years old and have been a dr who fan since a very young age ( the ice warrior scared me as a child) . so hello everyone!
Heres something that might interest people.
About 14 months ago i purchased an old home cine camera, as a wanabe film maker i decided i need to get some cine film and get the camera fixed. I knew of a place in my city where they delt with things like that. When i entered the store i talked to the owner who told me that there was no point in buying cine film and that i should just stick with digital. i was rather annoyed by his rudeness but had alook around the shop. thats when i spotted a few Film cans lying about. Loving the look and design i asked how much each were. he told me that they were a few quid but 20 pounds if they contained film.
So i asked what he ment, and he said he has about 100 cans of film out in the back of his shop. He said they were just documentries and film used by local tv companies.
This is what made me think. not very far from this shop is the BBC and HTV . So maybe he got them from there, which means he might have some rare tv recordings. i havent been to the shop for ages but its still there.
if anyone in the bristol area wants to look this up and have a hunt get in contact and i will send you the details.
sorry if this leads no where but i thought it was worth a try.

Indeed - it sounds like it is worth a try; very much a needle in a haystack sort of thing, with very little chance of finding anything worthwhile. However, very little chance is better than no chance...

Very true. as a locater of lost concert recordings i have always found that a small lead could be whats needed in a puzzle to find lost material.
i have been contacted by lance. so hopefully he can dig this up and see whast there.
