Hi Lance:
I've been poking around the 16MM online groups as you have been.
In response to a post for BBC material, I was contacted by someone who has several film prints of episodes of 'The Adventures of Sir Lancelot' starring Willam 'Ian Chesterton' Russell as Sir Lancelot plus other British notables.
I checked, and the entire run of 30 episodes is in the archive. Nonetheless, I wondered if this is the sort of thing in which you might have an interest. Otherwise, perhaps someone else here would.
Regards,
Doug Wulf

Hey Doug,
Thank you for thinking of me, and namesake as well. There appear to be many of these 16mm episodes of Lancelot, have seen many on ebay already this year. However, I have not seen any of these episodes, I do know that the series id on DVD. How much out of curiosity are the prints ? Thank you again for the info and for keeping a keen eye out, after all that is how discoveries are made.
Cheers, Lance.

He emailed me back and said that the two episodes he has are "Knight's Choice" and "The Ugly Duckling" and that the prints are "beautiful originals." They might be interesting to see as 16mm prints. I don't own a projector, so I wouldn't be buying them. The guy is in Summit, New Jersey. If you want his contact info, I'll send that to you privately. I posted here in public just in case you weren't interested but someone else here is.

Adventures of Sir Lancelot prints are not particularly hard to find -- I generally sell them for anywhere between $25 and $50 depending on the condition and title.
There are a lot of prints of ITC shows around - they were all syndicated in the US, so lots of prints were stuck. Other shows that are around include "The ADventures of Robin Hood", "The Invisible Man", etc...
Other shows are harder to find - like "Danger Man" -- for some reason those rarely turn up -- I've only ever seen two episodes for sale.... "The Scarlet Pimpernell" (W/ Pat Troughton I believe) is also hard to find.

I'd say Danger Man is probably more popular than the others you mentioned. I'd make a guess that film copies are more collectable, and thus, don't make it out onto the marketplace often.

Hi Wright
The problem with that theory is that I've been a film collector/dealer for 20 years and I've seen two of those - while I've seen hundreds of prints of the other shows. And shows like "Star Trek" which are super popular, are everywhere... I think the reality is that for some reason they're just not around - perhaps they were not distributed by a company that sold off it's prints when TV film distribution ended. Other similar shows like "The Avengers" and "The Prisoner" are pretty hard to find.
