Does anyone know if anything remains of this 1966-7 series in the (Carlton ?) archives ?

Talking from the top of my head Paul until somebody more knowledgable responds, but rather surprisingly YES! most (if not all) of this delightful old show still survives in various formats.

I remember one being shown at the NFT many, many years ago. I think it was the first, but I might be wrong. It seemed like an opening episode, but I cna't remember any details.

Virtually all of the three series survive but a few have visual subtitles on screen according to Kal. I remember seeing this originally; another toally forgotten show that was very popular in it's time. I was amused by it then but i'm not sure how well it would stand up now. Still, i'd like to see it all again nonetheless. Maybe when it's finished, the great Carlton / ATV stocktake of the archive will uncover the few missing ones and unsubtitled versions of the others.

Thank you- that`s unexpectedly good news; I`d contacted Carlton a number of times- mostly without response- and had been led to believe that none of the 25 episodes still exist. Is there someone who might be able to give a definitive answer as to what exactly exists ?

Well, i've seen the odd clip turn up in things in the past so something obviously does exist of the series (despite what Carlton say). The 1997 version of the Kaleidoscope Drama Guide I have gives the archive listing, so i'd say that was pretty much reliable in general. Just checking the list, it appears that only two are totally missing (1/7 and 2/2), so a release would be possible (and make sense) without these.

Well I saw that episode at the NFT seems a few years ago now.
I seem to remeber that Katherine Harison (Mrs Thursday) had prevented repeats whilst she was alive.
