On Stuart Humpfreys web page there is a few second clip that was recolorized from Galaxy 4, it is of a rill snapping its jaws. As far as I am aware I do not know of any footage existing of the rills. So, where did this clip come from ? babel-fish.kostamojen.com/GALAXY4.htmThe whole sequence of videos is on you tube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkklNdv4P-s&mode=related&search=Good cloorization, especially for Planet Of The Daleks 3, and Invasion of The Dinosaurs 1. Any info or imput would be appreciated. Lance.

It's an old still photograph of a Rill, with colourisation, a zoom, smoke overlay and little bit of animation applied.

Oh, thanks for the info Richard. Still, looks like a good job on the recolorization and video footage. That must of taken quite a while to colorize frame by frame of a few seconds of video footage. Such as the work seen in the last issue of Nothing At The End Of The Lane. Day Of Armageddon looked way cool too, however the old monochrome episodes are still classic.

WOW! Every Doctor Who fan should see these. Hartnell and Troughton in action in colour is sensational. Some of Stuart's work should be included on a DVD release of a b/w story as an extra; I'm not suggesting b/w stories be colourised, though. I love that animated Rill and it's amazing seeing the Toymaker is all his finery. One point, though – there's no way the BBC should attempt to get away with releasing any Pertwee in b/w on DVD when colourisation – by a fan, for fun – is evidently so successful.

I went and watched the clip at YouTube. It's not always the most convincing colorization, but it's certainly novel to see Hartnell and Troughton in color.

soon it will be possible to colourise just about everything, what do you think of the old b/w episodes being colourised, it's bound to happen sooner or later.

Later, Let people watch the material the way people used to watch it back when it was new. I think a dual option color/ B&W would suffice on a DVD release, if that is possibe. Still, the colorization shown looks rather good. I only wish there was more of Pat Troughton on youtube colorization.

I'm sure someone will colourise an entire episode now, which would you like to see? I'd either go for the last episode of the mind robber or evil of the daleks, perhaps even a 1970 totp?
