These are 1980s (or maybe even 1990s) vintage videotapes. They've been listed before (Steve Roberts posted about them somewhere). No chance of there being any missing BBC material there... Stuff broadcast in the 70s (e.g. the colour pertwees) would be on 2-inch (Quad) tapes ... And stuff broadcast in the 60s would have been on 16mm films, not videotapes...

Although, I suspect, we can all expect (from certain quarters) the inevitable flurry of questions of whether there may be some obscure Troughton clip on them...

Don't forget, however:
There was some missing colour pertwee material ("Terror of the Autons") which exists not only on Sony U-matic tape, but also VHS as well. The material was aired on PBS stations in the late 70's (in particular WNED in Buffalo NY and some other PBS station in Los Angeles) ... in fact, much of the missing colour material from Pertwee's first season aired on these stations in the late 70's.
In particular, what is required are episodes of "The Ambassadors of Death" and "The Mind of Evil", the only two serials from Pertwee's first two seasons which have not yet been 100% colourised. If these tapes are from the early 80's, it's not entirely impossible that there MIGHT be some missing colour Pertwee on them.

I'm afraid I don't get your logic -- These are late 80s or early 90s broadcast tapes .... 70s era broadcast tapes would be 2 inch quads. How would the episodes have gotten onto these tapes? Are you suggesting that some PBS station would have copied the quads onto 1 inch tapes 10+ years later ?? Given the cost of the tapes, and the fact that they wouldn't have had the rights to the episodes, there's zero chance that that would have happened, even if they did have the Quads to begin with....

I agree with Steven on this one. The tapes are too new contain any Partwee material. But hey prove me wrong, buy the lot and a machine to play 2 in quad videotape and see if there is anything there.
Lance.
