Was reading OG when I came across this interview www.radionz.co.nz/nr/programmes/nights/20060510which mentions this website. Good to see the message getting out there. Just need the right people to have heard this now! Well done to Brian for getting some airtime for missing episodes.

I listened to the interview and I have discussed this with other NZ fans and we all came to the conclusion that for a true New Zealand perspective (which is what the interview was about) the interviewees should have been someone such as Paul Scoones or Neil Lambess.

Of course it should have been, but its done no harm, has it?

I would try to bookmark the site. It is great that more people in New Zealand are going to be aware of the missing episodes. Maybe another find like the Lion might be possible in the future due to this radio spot. Here's hoping.

Of course it should have been, but its done no harm, has it? In some ways yes; the whole point of the interview was whether or not there are missing episodes in New Zealand, and instead of talking to someone "in authority" from the New Zealand Doctor Who Fan Club (and point out its existence and the real possibility of episodes existing in this country) they instead interviewed a random fan from Ireland.

We've had this as well. I suspect the Internet has made radio producers poorer researchers! -- sfsa.org.au/, the South Australian Doctor Who Fan Club, Inc.

This guy seems to have barely a glimmer about Doctor Who, only a basic understanding of the past archive status of the series, BBC practices. I deffinitely agree that Radio New Zealand should of contactes Niel Lambess or Paul Scoones, or Jon Preddle for the interview. They deffinitely did not do much research to locate the best quallified person to explain the plight of Doctor Who and other missing series. Maybe they will do a better time next time, if there is a next time.

I don't think he did a bad job (and now is the time to strike, if it's on in your country), it's just a shame the the world experts in that particular category weren't the ones doing it. Bruce Grenvillle pops up, so we get his account.

It wasn't a case of the radio station not doing research to find the right person; it was actually Brian who approached the station and managed to get the segment on air in the first place. Had he not approached them, there would have been no segment at all.
