Hey all, perhaps not the most interesting of questions but here goes...
Having recently purchased the Lost in Time DVD, I noticed the end credits on The Web of Fear were different to the usual ones. Does anyone know, if this was part of the original broadcast or was this was added for the DVD and are there any others? I know the closing credits of The Time Meddler Part 4 had the images of the Doctor, Steven and Vicki to commemorate the close of the season.

Earthshock ep 4 has the closing credits sans music over Adric's broken up star.

Tell me if this is way out but I believe different Credits or Titles started with The War Machines. Was this possibly an attempt to bring something fresher to the programme. Some fear of it becoming stale towards the end of season 3?

Possibly to update the credit sequence. Try an experiment of sorts and see how the viewers reacted to it.

Ice warriors and Tenth Planet are my favourite ones.

I like the way The Ambassadors has "Of Death" zooming up to camera a few seconds later. Suitably dramatic.

I've always liked the "Inferno" title sequence. Very appropriate to the storyline - all that lava, vocanoes and the story title bleeding into focus.

Yes, Inferno was a good one. They seemed to stop these different beginnings after season 7 though.
