Hello Again,
I was just wondering if anyone has heard how Ian Levine and Paul Vanezis are progressing in their search? I have not heard anything about this search for a while, and was just wondering if they are following any good leads etc. If anyone can help answer this question it would be appreciated.
Thanks, Lance.

I have a feeling that this is one of those things of which we will hear nothing until it is either concluded, or achieves a result (that is locates something missing), and that it is a project that will take some.
I think the best thing to do is to just hang tight, and wait for them to report back when they are ready to.

Paul located Ian hiding in a cupboard. It took him 8 days, 9 hours, 23 minutes.
Now it's Ian's turn.

Thanks, Lance. Ian Levine has mentioned in his thread over at Outpost Gallifrey that he is still on the job and is following a couple of leads. One he thinks we have about a %60 chance of leading to a recovery around June and in the other he mentions that a well known fan that works/worked at the BBC is rumoured to have one but will not part with it and who will deny its existance if asked about it? Good to know that he is still looking.

This is non who related but still very interresting:
Ian has found the long rumored episode six of "A for Andromeda". And from a european television broadcaster ( who he wants to remain nameless ) an episode titles "Level Seven" from "Out of The Unknown" has been recovered as well. No complete episodes existed from "A for Andromeda", only a series of clips until the news broke yesterday. Good work Ian, keep it up. Missing for 44 years these episodes can now rest at home in the BBC archives. I hope they release thses on DVD sometime soon, they sound very interresting.
Lance.

Ian has found the long rumored episode six of "A for Andromeda". He hasn't "found" it at all! It's been known for the last 20 odd years where it was! ;D He's helped to recover it though. Richard

Yes, These are two missing Who's.
You have to remember he has not verified their existance yet ,they are only possible leads. He has also mentioned that one lead, that while concrete, may take a long time to come to fruition.

I really wish he hadn't said anything about his leads because now people are going to get their hopes up over the coming months and there will be a lot of speculation, but if nothing is recovered, a lot of people are going to be very disappointed.

I think disappointment is 'par for course' for those interested in missing episodes

To be fair, Richard, the only reason it's been known for years is because I let it be known.
The guy who had it has never told anyone else apart from me about it, and I blabbed many years ago that it existed.
He has been one of my contacts and wishes to remain anonymous.
