I can't believe that clips from Marco Polo and Mission existed upto just 10 years ago, I hate to think what else could have been lost forever through this manner I doubt there were clips from Mission to the Unknown - the episode was rejected therefore there would be no need to edit it. I may well be wrong, but somewhere I read that mission had been edited even though it was never broadcast. Could be wrong info though.

This is off topic, but I thought I would ask and see what happens. I remember reading that Iran did not return thier episodes of Marco Polo, and that Iran replied back saying "who in the name of allah are you talking about". But has this Iranian archive been contacted:
National Radio and Television Archives Vali Assr Avenue Teheran
Telephone: +98 (21) 21 960
Just thought I would ask this question, and see if someone can shed some light here for me.
Thanks, Lance.

Maybe a fan who is in Europe could write or call the archives and see what they posessed. It is a little hard to mail a letter from the USA to Iran. What about Ian Levine or Paul Vanezis ? Might they be able to mail or call the archives in Iran ? Just a thought I had.

Begin the letter with: "Well, in the name of Allah, I am referring to..." Hmm, that wouldn't be horrendously offensive, now would it...

I don't think the Iranians are too happy with any of us Westerners at the moment Would be best to find someone with relatives inside the country if you really want to prosper down this route. In fact, if the Iranians really want to avert any 'forceful action' from us, all they need to do is demonstrate they have the missing copies of 'The Yeti' and the 'Daleks Masterplan' the Doctor Who brigade would never let the coalition invade !

True,
I can just see it, a horde of DW fans from all over the world protecting Iran. Would make for a good movie.

Honestly, I don't think that would dissuade Dubya.

Does anyone (Arabic speakers or those with any knowledge of Iran/its broadcasters) know if the "Who in the name of Allah...?" story is credible? Are there more details known?
