Does anyone know who ended up with the 16mm T/R of "The Lion"? I'd like to ask that person a question about it...

'Fraid not! When The Lion eventually sold on eBay in January 2000, it was via a private auction, so the bidders identities weren't revealed.

Yeah -- it's too bad -- I got out bid on it in the original NZ auction (not on ebay) and then that buyer re-listed it on ebay ....

Hey,
Did everything finally work out? I wanted to ask you David how it felt when you recived the previously missing episode? Did you immediately watch it? I was also wondering if you could post a picture of what the film can and the film inside looked like. If you could do that, it would be appreciated.
Thanks,Lance.

Hi Lance - I'm back in !
when I bought the print It had already come out on VHS so the exitement factor wasn't as high as it could have been but I did watch it that same day on my projector;
Unfortunately I lack a digital camera so I can't take a picture of it , it has a sticker for the new zealand owners film library "Sewdang Cinema" on the can though rather than a bbc one.
