and it had to be magicing in to existence a single episode of dr who, which would you choose?
Would you rather it be
1.A single odd episode for a specific reason (i.e the first time Elton john was ever seen in dr who)
2An episode that would complete a whole story
3An episode you just happen to fancy looking at
4An episode from a totaly missing story to see if it was aqs good as legend says.

I'd choose "The Feast of Steven" as it shows the true versatility of the format of the show (even if it is a load of old tosh).

I'd prefer that an episode from a completely missing story was found, personally i'd go for power of the daleks episode 1 cause it's the first troughton and we'd get to see how well the changeover was done.

I'd go for part four of the tenth planet....then we would have another completed story.

Hmmm. I'd probably prefer an episode to complete the series or any Dalek related episodes as the Daleks are my favourite enemy ;D!!! I wonder how whoever designed them came up with the appearence, I'm assuming the prototype would of been a salt shaker with little thingies pointing out of it . I mean Daleks look like oversized saltshakers . Anyways like the design ;D! So I'm sooooo stoked that an episode from Dalek Masterplan ;D was found and hope more episodes from that series will be found to complete it!!! Cheers Troy

I'd go for Mission to the unknown, because it's kind of a one-off,and that way maybe the BBC could release it straight away on video or DVD! (although the doctor wasn't even in it!),

or even The Daleks Master Plan Episode 12 - The Destruction of Time - as this would round off the story, and allow a proper release of all surving episodes

Whatever I chose, it would be a Troughton ep, as his are the ones mainly missing!
If it was a single episode, it would be Power Of The Daleks 1 (obvious really - Troughton's first appearance, a key moment ). If it was a complete story that could be recovered, then it would be Web Of Fear. No question. One of the best moments in the show's history.

For me it would be an episode of any story that is currently completely missing. That way we'd get a taste of what it had been like, whereas currently we only rely on memories of older fans, the soundtracks, telesnaps, reconstructions, DWM archives, etc. On second thoughts, does that mean they are "completely missing"? Oh, sod it, I'd rather have a missing Cartier returned. Best, Alan

Any chance we can have a thread about magic'ing' out of existence some episodes. All those involving curly rainbow top and that scottish 'vision on' lisper would be a good start!

No, I don't think so, Andy. Too much TV has been destroyed already that we don't need to add to it. Serious suggestions only please.

I was being serious. I'd happily get the band-saw out for them! (especially if they could be replaced by some of the most requested rareties). Not everything old is gold.

I forgot most DW fans had the sense of humour bypass when they converted to serious Tardis worship.
