Bill Spiby Nigeria (no missing episode - don't get excited) Wed Feb 09 2005 18:48:07 062.252.192.013
Following discussions on this forum (and elsewhere) last year regarding 'sightings' of possible missing episodes in Nigeria, I wrote to around about 30 TV stations in the country, along with an attached list of all missing episodes and possible episode titles.
I have only received one reply so far; it comes from the Manager for the North Central Zone of the Nigerian Television Authority. The individual is extremely helpful and informs me that they have investigated the libraries in the North and that follow up requests have been sent to Southern Nigeria, and goes on to assure me that they will contact me if any episodes are found.
The NTA also send their warm regards and best wishes for our search.
I will keep everyone posted as to any further correspondence.
I still have around another 45 channels to write to. If anyone wants to share this administrative and postage burden then please feel free.

I have Steve. The actual wording is
Serial D - Marco Polo - Sold overseas as "Doctor Who and a Journey to Cathay. Episode 1 - The Roof of the World Episode 2 - The Singing Sands Episode 3 - Five Hundred Eyes Episode 4 - The Wall of Lies Episode 5 - Rider From Shang-Tu Episode 6 - Mighty Kublai Khan Episode 7 - Assassin at Peking
which is taken from an online source, I'm ashamed to say I forget where
Hey do you have a list of the stations that you have not yet contacted? If so could you please e-mail me a list to firstname.lastname@example.org and I could help you in your inquieries, It would be an honor to help search for missing episodes.
Thanks to all who replied. As long as everyone sends off the letters and lists to the sets of five contact details I provided, we will have covered the whole of Nigeria. That's both the state and commercial sector.
I think the best plan is too leave it six to eight weeks and we'll target another country. Ethiopia seems favourite. However, I'm open to suggestions. As long as we keep it to five stations each then the cost shouldn't be prohibitive for any single individual.
Does anyone know of a good resource for Ethiopian TV contact details?
