Here is something that will interest a lot of people Message by
Bill Spiby Nigeria (no missing episode - don't get excited) Wed Feb 09 2005 18:48:07 062.252.192.013
Following discussions on this forum (and elsewhere) last year regarding 'sightings' of possible missing episodes in Nigeria, I wrote to around about 30 TV stations in the country, along with an attached list of all missing episodes and possible episode titles.
I have only received one reply so far; it comes from the Manager for the North Central Zone of the Nigerian Television Authority. The individual is extremely helpful and informs me that they have investigated the libraries in the North and that follow up requests have been sent to Southern Nigeria, and goes on to assure me that they will contact me if any episodes are found.
The NTA also send their warm regards and best wishes for our search.
I will keep everyone posted as to any further correspondence.
I still have around another 45 channels to write to. If anyone wants to share this administrative and postage burden then please feel free.

Just out of interest, Bill, how are you referring to the episodes of Marco Polo in your list?

You should probably refer to it also as Series D.

I'm not usually one for this kind badgering of TV execs but it seems like this guy may one of the rare ones who is actually interested in the search.
Count me in if you like - I'll see if there is anything I can do to help...

Thanks to all who replied. As long as everyone sends off the letters and lists to the sets of five contact details I provided, we will have covered the whole of Nigeria. That's both the state and commercial sector.
I think the best plan is too leave it six to eight weeks and we'll target another country. Ethiopia seems favourite. However, I'm open to suggestions. As long as we keep it to five stations each then the cost shouldn't be prohibitive for any single individual.
Does anyone know of a good resource for Ethiopian TV contact details?
