Don't know if anyone can help me, a few years ago my brother bought the Hitch Hikers Double DVD from the BBC.
I thought I'd checked the discs at the time, but two babies and a house move later I've discovered there are two Disc Two's in the box, as is not yet been used and the shop he bought it from has closed down (MVC) I've tried to contact BBC Enterprises to get a replacement but no luck... any ideas?

You could copy it. I'm not a lawyer but it doesn't sound like infringement to me. You paid for the whole thing.
Also, if this is the 80s series you're talking about, some of the discs had a problem with the sound. Did you have the region 2 UK release?

It sounds like the disc pressers are at fault and if you cant contact the BBC then they might be the next port of call?
There might be someway of identifying the pressing on the dsic somewhere ? or you could try a disc presser like 'Deluxe' * at Denham Middlesex see if they did or know somebody who did.
*They may been renamed Sony now?
