Hector's House was first broadcast on the BBC in 1965 but is best remembered from its 1970's heyday. Despite the animals' apparent cut-glass English accents, it is actually a French import. Hector the dog and ZsaZsa the cat live in a house in the middle of a beautiful garden full of flowers. Kiki the frog lives next door, and spends much of her time spying on them over the garden wall! Kiki and ZsaZsa are forever playing tricks on Hector to teach him a lesson, leading him to say "I'm a great big (whatever he happened to be) Old Hector!" at the end of every episode!
