Hey everyone, just getting round to transfering all my 71/2 ips open reel tapes - It may take a while but I've found some interesting stuff. A documentary with Alexis Corner talking about his influence (that guy is cool) and at the moment I'm transfering a chart show from I think 1983, although irritatingly whoever taped the stuff has cut out all the links! anyway, I'll keep you posted as you go, I have dozens of tapes I've bought up over the years and I guess you never can tell what'll turn up. Oh, damn, I've just found out why this tape was labeled '1983 SUPERMAN'...
I'll list any material I find, and if you fancy copies I'll provide.

I dunno what era that would be, The chart shows I have are from 1983.
As of yet I've transfered the following:
Alexis Corner - Talking about the records that have influenced him in a big way, I think this is about 1983/4 - I have this in full
Two editions of the same chart show, both from 1983 - one has the links chopped on it, the other the links are intact.
I'll happily upload these to rapidshare if anybody wants to hear them. I know they're quite late, but as I understand missing radio goes later than TV? I dunno if thats right r not, either way, they may be of general interest - the alexis corner one is great. They've all been recorded at 7 1/2 ips, so they're pretty clean from noise, even if the sound is full of mid range.

They sound great Sam, I'd certainly love to hear them again, I accidentally junked a tape I did back in 1984 recently which I was gutted about, though I had chopped most of the links (at the time I was more concerned with squeezing as much music as I could onto a C90 than listening to how great Simon Bates was at doing the countdown. Hindsight is an irritating thing.
