Hi,
Does the following qualify as anything worh keeping? I don't have any missing episodes, but I do have a small clip from Radio 2 from what I am is guessing is the end of December 1968.
The clip starts off at the end of "sing something simple", goes onto a promo for radio 1 and 2 (and mentions "pete murray's sunday people at 10 of the clock"). It then goes back to the radio 2 announcer who tells us what's coming up next: grand hotel, sunday half hour, top of the form and watch this space. The news is up next, with the headline being about apollo 8. The clip then goes off into "grand hotel".
Any comments?

Keep it, keep it!!. I've found loads of interesting little links at the end of Top 40 shows from the seventies and I'd never dream of getting rid of them. They're worth it for the news bulletins alone.

Can't gurantee this will work, but try this for a download of what I describe above; spfiles.no-ip.org/webtest/tmp/radio2.mp3 (This is just under a 2MB download. BTW, the distortion is on the original recording). ljones

Unfortunatly not .... - I do have a few more open-spool audio tapes with 60s music on it, plus another one with some sort of opera labelled "gilbert and sullivan the mackado part 1"., and another labelled "HMS Pinifore Yeoman of the guard". Another one is labelled "Black and white minstrels" which I'm guessing is just something someone must have taped from records, I don't know. The one with 60s music on sounds like it has alan freeman (I'm guessing) on it too (So maybe it was from 'pick of the pops'?) but he is cut off almost every time by more music - there are only 2 times he speaks and even then he dosen't say much. No chartrundown, either x.x
