I have a cassette with the six episodes of what was Richard Digance's first series on Radio 2, recorded in mono from Radio Kent FM. They run from 12 Dec 1983 to 17 Jan 1984. Does anyone know if they are in the BBC archives? It is not mentioned on his page at www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/talent/d/digance_richard.shtml |

It's not likely to be as that encyclopaedia is mainly concerned with television.
There was a follow up series called Another Digance Indulgence (12/08/87 - 23/09/87; dates may not be spot on) which I have marked as 'series three' according to the off-airs I inherited. They would have aired on Radio 2.

I have a few tapes of "Indulgence" in a tape collection I inherited, also a series of 12 shows called "Digence Does It..." with subjects such as "Sportingly" and "Locally". Not encoded them to mp3 yet, they'll probably be included in a distro by one of the Yahoo groups.

Further to my previous posting, after some delay due to a family illness, I finally got around to contacting the BBC Treasure Hunt. They only had the first in the series and I am lending them (I the sound of that!) with the other 5 episodes.
Also (and here the 'findings list on this website will have to be changed) I am lending them 2 episodes of 'Radio 5 with Eric Idle'. 1 missing and 1 better quality. For your information the full episode list of Radio 5 is

and they then will have a complete set.

Congratulations on these great finds - it does amaze me though that radio programmes from as late as the '80s are missing from the archives.
What about the second Digance series that Bent Halo mentioned? Does anyone know its archive status as well?
