I've come across a large collection of Goon Shows and, following the BBC Treasure Hunt guide, I've found the following episodes that may be of value:
The Sahara Desert Statue The Fireball of Milton Street The Collapse of the British Railway Sandwich System Round the World in 80 Days The Raid of the International Christmas Pudding The Internal Mountain The Sale of Manhattan The Kippered Herring Gang Ten Snowballs that Shook the World The Great Bank of England Robbery The End Six Ingots of Leadenhall Street Emperor of the Universe The Lost Gold Mine (of Charlotte) The Missing Prime Minister The Terrible Revenge of Fred Fu-Manchu The Lost Year The Choking Horror Ned's Atomic Dustbin The Stolen Postman The Great Ink Drought of 1902 The Missing Boa Constrictor The Man Who Tried To Destroy London’s Monuments The Great Statue Debate The Telephone The Africa Ship Canal The Pevensey Bay Disaster The Pam's Paper Insurance Policy The Thing on the Mountain The Missing Battleships The History of Communications The Junk Affair What's My Line The Secret Escritorie The Ghastly Experiments of Dr Hans Eidelburger The Man Who Won The War The Booted Gorilla Forog Robin's Post The First Albert Memorial to the Moon Six Charlies in Search of an Author The Hastings Flyer - Robbed The Red Fort The Chinese Legs The Case of the Missing Heir The Missing Boa Constrictor The Canal The Africa Ship Canal The Moon Show The Saga of the Internal Mountain The Policy
According to the BBC Treasure Hunt guide, only the episodes in bold are missing episodes, whilst the others only survive edited. Is there a list anywhere that I can use to compare the durations to determine whether any of those episodes are unedited?

'The Collapse Of The Great British Railway Sandwich System' is on the next 'Goon Show Classics' double cd. Several others on your list have already been restored and released. If you do get in touch with the Beeb, you won't necessarily get a reply.

If you do get in touch with the Beeb, you won't necessarily get a reply. Thanks for the reply. I'm not a fan of this series at all (in fact, I think it's dreadful), but I got them because I knew they were listed as missing (or possibly unedited copies). I'll wait to see if anyone can give me a definitve answer, although I am quite eager to get rid of them if they're not valuable.

I remember reading Neds Atomic Dustbin is missing. The BBC Treasure Hunt guide lists it as existing, but in an edited state. According to that guide, the edited episodes are usually several minutes short of their thirty-minute duration, but my copy is 00:33:13.

There've been people before who found Goons stuff that the Beeb didn't seem to really want.

There've been people before who found Goons stuff that the Beeb didn't seem to really want. That's the impression I got with these episodes (which I no longer have, for the record), having asked at various different places and getting very little interest, even from fans.

being a goon addict also:
i list all the goon CD's released up to 2003, though i think there are another one or two released also
Titles: The first release was titled simply "Goon Show Classics." Then came Goon Show Classics 2 through 8. Then they switched to names instead of numbers. The next four, which would have been 9-12, were instead called "Goon Show Classics: '[installment title].'" After that the word "Classics" was dropped, and subsequent sets have been titled "The Goon Show: '[installment title].'" Goon Show Classics 1-10 were originally released as shows not restored by Kendall, just redubs (and not always particularly well done redubs) of existing tapes. Later, Kendall went back and restored this series.
* Formats: The first ten were released in England in double-cassette format only. But in Australia they were released on double-CDs. The edits were the same, but the sound quality of the CDs was in general better, with the CD version ranging from slightly to substantially superior to cassette in most cases. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
