where's the Deep Purple IC?? They did two, 1970 and 1972 with the Mk2 line-up, I can't see it in that list.

The 1970 concert is 22/2 where they replaced Joe Cocker. 1972 dates will follow next time I visit the library. THe 1970 concert received no billing in RT hence only 72 memorabilia in the CD booklet that came with the 2CD release.

and yes, it was me (whilst working for the Transcription Service) that got those concerts commercially released.

Glad to make contact. Any remeniscences you'd care to share. I'mparticularly keen to track down information on what BBC sessions were copied to disk by transcription, Top of the Pops (tha tsort of thing). Is there a central database that the public can access?

no, there was no log of sessions as far as I remember. I worked at Transcriptions from1976 to 1983 before moving on to Television Centre. It was also me who kept the master quarter inch tapes of 'Top Of The Pops 0' that featured three Beatles session tracks when I was told in about 1980 to chuck it!
