Hi All
I am an enthusiast of Rock and Roll, but especially British stars Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, Cliff Richard, Joe Brown et al.I'm looking for radio recordings of programmes featuring songs from any of these rockers from before 1990,ideally from the 1960s. I am also keen to track down Lonnie Donegan material. There was a show on Radio Luxembourg with Billy Fury, and I know that Marty Wilde radio session clips were played on a doc.about Marty a couple of years ago.

I'd also be interested in any concert recordings.

I have a decent collection of material in exchange.

I too would love to see some old vintage rock and roll footage of stars like Billy Fury and Cliff Richard etc.

Unfortunately 36 of the 38 shows are missing. Even producer Jack Good has nothing from this cult series.
Very sad.
I believe the most exciting archive to be uncovered is that of ATV.. now owned by Carlton International. They possess many variety and music shows dating back to 1958 (Sat Spectaculars) etc which have never been viewed to this day.
They have only just began to realize the treasure trove they are sitting on and transferring some of this vintage material. Last year they had a quad tape initiative... transferring mostly 70s variety shows.
When funds become available to transfer the really old stuff from the 50s and 60s... mostly i believe on 8mm and 16mm tape.... will we see some great footage emerge of many stars for the first time !!
