Hi All, I don't know if anyone else has come across this, but thought I would give you a heads up: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQfTSpIC7VgIt's the end credit sequences from 3 1970 editions. The last one looks like the existing 15 October 1970 edition, but AFAIK the BBC does not hold the first 2 editions. It's quite fascinating seeing the acts featured!

Yes, it's the edition from which the often seen Deep Purple performance of "Black Night" is taken from. The Richard Barnes track is indeed "Go North" which AFAIK has never been reshown. I wouldn't mind seeing this performance. Until I saw his "non TOTP" performance of "Take It To The Mountains" (linked from a previous post, I had never heard any of his material - what a good voice!
I'm hoping whoever posted these clips makes more available...

Does the BBC want Top of the Pops appearences? it seems strange how a few tapes exist but they never seem to want them

These are the Bob Pratt clips that have been doing the rounds (online) since bout 2003. There should be a second one somewhere which starts with the (existing) xmas 1967 clip talking about Magical Mystery Tour being shown on BBC2. The Lulu track (Hum A Song) plays for a minute or two but apart from the Xmas 69 stuff, i think the footage from other editions on it are literally what is left.
On a different tack i would love to see the Blodwyn Pig 'Same Old Story' clip in VT colour. The TOTP site has the colour mute intro on it (timecoded) and have only seen it on B/W t/r. Anyone know if this exists in full and in colour?

I have been fortunate enough to have been sent some private youtube invitations in the past, and have seen the Blodwyn Pig clip in full colour, also have seen Bobby Bloom " Montego Bay", Family " Weavers Answer",and The Tremeloes " Me and My Life" all in exellent broadcast quality colour. So know they exist out there somewhare, are these sourced from the Bob Pratt collection ? As would be good to know if these clips had already been recovered, just currious. Any info chaps?
Cheers, Lance.

Thanks again for posting the info Garyjordanbrum, much appreciated as always. I looked over the link you provided, but saw no specific mentioning of the clips I had listed above ? Any further info here would be much appreciated as always. As I was under the impression these clips were listed as missing from the BBC archives ? Were these part of the Bob Pratt collection ? How much material exactly is there still to transfer from this fantastic collection of music tv related items ? And on what format is the real question, as the clips I was sent back when were in sterling broadcast quality colour, great quality in fact looked like footage from a professional broadcast 2in reel ? Any ideas, thoughts, info, would be glad to hear about.
Cheers, Lance.
