Spent some of this week clearing out cupboards in the University dept where I work and stumbled on a box of Sony High Density Video Tape, For Helical Scan Video Tape Recorders, V62. There are about a dozen and all contain (or at least are labelled as containing) scientific programmes/lectures. They are dated 1975/76, and look as though they have not been played since the seventies.
Q. Can anybody still play these things? Q. Does anybody want them?

I'll have 'em if nobody else has already claimed them...

It sin't so much who wants them, more can anyone play them? I dont' know exactly what is on them but I suspect that they are lectures (chemistry) and one offs. It would be nice to salvage them. You are first on the list of worthy homes though!

Now, if only they'd videoed Top Of the Pops by accident,
that'll get everyone in colleges to raid their cupboards.....

I can get them played (and baked first if necessary).
