I've just got a copy of these show from a collector. And was wondering how many of these show are still in the archives, as they were produced by Granada. Get it together has no one special on it, but 45 has Sweet.

Get it together ahhh .... Roy North, the worst pop presenter of all time, perhaps. Every week he leapt up and down singing the theme tune (badly). And every week they had kids answering quiz questions, where often the kids got the right answers but were told they were wrong because the Granada researchers had messed up. I always blamed Muriel Young for that : she was well out of her time-zone by then.
I remember one show where Billy Ocean sang "Red light spells danger" ; this was immediately followed by some kid being asked what colour Ocean had just sung about, to which said child answered "Green". Not sure why that sticks in my mind, other than the sheer ignorance of it I guess.

Just checked the archives. about 90% of Get it Together survives, but not many 'A' list artists appeared on it (sorry Gary, forgot about Slade) Only 15 out of 60 editions of '45' survive in the archive. The earliest one is episode 13 from 26th September 1974. But again, not many 'A' listers on this one either (at least the ones that survive). Some by Bay City Rollers, Showaddywaddy,Manfred Mann, Leo Sayer.....

I knew it was much less than transmitted.

According to Kal's Lost shows all 45's editions exist www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=45Assuming that it's the right show, but the time period fits

No A listers? Marc Bolan appeared in 1977 and turned in perhaps his greatest performance in years, looking great and playing a fantastic live version of "Dandy In The Underworld" www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEmgGMnYO3o

I love most 'glam'-period stuff! I'm delighted when anything exists - even acts I dislike (they tend to be MOR artists). All programmes should have been kept and archived. Any missing discovery is a bonus!
