Can anybody give me an e-mail address for the BBC to register my disgust at the cavalier fashion in which they've treated The Great War? On their website all it has is Points of View which requires me to register. I don't want to register, nor do I want my comments lost among the general ranting about this or that programme being shown before the watershed etc. I want a specific address which might get a reply.
I feel very strongly about this, as you can gather, and I think it just about uses up the last bit of goodwill I had towards the BBC as a public service broadcaster. Having trumpeted the programme all those months ago, it now looks as though the Beeb will force me to shell out for the entire series on video or DVD if I want to see the programme to its conclusion.

I agree, it is disgraceful.
An important period in our history, being delt with in an intelligent and enjoyable manner by a quality programme... well, it's a rarity to say the least.
And they give up on it just as it was getting really interesting.
Now how the hell am I going to know who won??

Sorry to hear about this. I bought the box set when it came out as I recalled how the 'World At War' was treated in a shabby manner. At least we can be thankful that they didn't crop it to 16:9!!!

Forty minutes.
Odd this old thread resurfacing... since the 'disgusting' showing the series has of course been repeated again, without the long gaps!
