Hey Joe, and all.
Have been working a lot lately, so sorry for the belated response. I will continue to chase up the Hancock audio reel contact, hopefully soom I will have more to post on the matter. Fingers crossed for some missing shows to turn up.
Cheers, Lance.

I didn't get to see the recent documentary so don't know what archive material it featured but from the 1967 to 1970 period I've only ever seen the "Dusty" material and his appearance on the sole existing "Set 'Em Up Joe" from 1969. Is there anymore solo Scott footage out there from that time? The documentary (due for DVD release on 10th September) featured Scott miming to Jackie on Howerd's Hour. I've never heard of this Set 'Em Up Joe item - what is it? There's a clip of Jackie on YouTube but I thought that came from some Spanish TV show. I saw a brief clip of a colour performance of The Me I Never Knew on one of the recent TV features and there's an excellent quality clip of Loss Of Love on YouTube.

Hello All, I also found a guy in the UK who has a set of origional off air audio soundtracks from some early 1960's uk tv editions of the Scott Walker TV Show. Here is what he stated about these items, sound like they are probably in good quality. What I am really wondering if any of these recordings are lost, or remotely rare, should I see if I can get a copy or not ? That sort of thing, any info would be much appreciated.: I can't say about the Hancock, but the Scott Walker circulates pretty widely in lossless (in decent, if not great, quality), and the info file you include is identical to the info file that accompanied its posting on the net. That coupled with the fact that he has it on CD-R makes me doubt that what he has are the "originals"; he probably downloaded it the same way a bunch of other people did. If you're a Scott Walker fan and want it, by all means get it, but don't do it for its "rarity", as it's hardly unique.

Heard back from the Hancock reel chap. He stated the episodes exist already on audio, and are not missing editions, still interesting stuff though, great show. Will keep on looking. On another note, I have received some interesting ex CBC video reels which I believe to date from the 1960's. Am hoping to be able to get them transfered in somehow, as I am not sure what type of VTR would be needed for playback. One reel looks like the one pictured here: www.labguysworld.com/EV-310_010.jpgalso, here are the specs on the unit: www.labguysworld.com/Sony_EV-310.htmThat one is an Ampex Reel, The other is a Memorex Reel, and the last is a scotch reel. There is even an old Betamax recording of something Irish, at least that is what is stated. Anyway, since Canada aired a lot of UK programs in the 1960's, am hoping something of interest may lie here. Were received from a kind collector of antiques and electronics in Canada, said they were from a garage full of stuff rescued from a ex CBC station. Anyway, neat prospect, any thoughts ? Lance.
