Cheers, Andrew. I wrote to Mark Cooper around the time of Jazz Britannia suggesting a series of Jazz 625 reruns, and got an enthusiastic reply, but nothing seems to have come of it. Yet. A few were released on VHS in the mid 90s, but the choices were odd - a tape with one of the Jazz from Kansas City editions on it, but not the other. Nice to see Frank Evans in the line up for Jazz West. Good guitarist. He once made an album called 'Frank Evans for Little Girls'. And Jazz Ship was a BBC Manchester production, made on a jazz cruise. When it turned out to be a success, network in London got shirty and foisted a producer who knew nothing about jazz on the production team for the 2nd series, then passed on the proffered 3rd series.

That is one very interesting interview. Thanks for the link. The design of the site could do with some work, though - did somebody else do the layout?

Yep, I just wrote the article and supplied the screen grabs. I interviewed Terry at length about his whole career for a book I'm writing on the history of light entertainment, but I was persuaded to extract the jazz stuff first.
