4. THE NEW CHRISTY MINSTRELS  First and only TOTP studio appearance : "I'll Coat Your Mind With Honey", 10/8/67 Folk group formed in 1961 by Randy Sparks. Members over the years included Barry McGuire, Gene Clark, Kenny Rogers and Kim Carnes. They scored a UK No.5 EP with "Three Wheels On My Wagon", as well as three US Top 30 hits, but no UK singles chart success of any kind. |

???was it 1964 or 65 three wheels was released over here.iseem to recall hearing it weekends on the radio a lot.

Their version of "We Need a Little Christmas" usually gets a lot of play during the Christmas season. Don't know if Kenny Rogers or Kim Carnes appear on that version, though
