Saturday 19th November 1966 BBC1 Juke Box Jury BBC2 Tonight In Person ATV Countdown (made by Southern) Samantha Juste, Jean Lincoln, Spencer Davis, Mike Felix, David & Jonathan, Paul & Barry Ryan BBC1 The Royal Variety Performance
Countdown was nothing to do with the Richard Whitely countdown.
The only other refernce I have seen for the show is in a ITV annual of the time.
I presume only stills form the show exist.
I believe it was a pop panel game of some sort, with guest artistes miming their latest 45.

So was it love at first sight for Mickey & Samantha having met at the TOTP studios? While on the subject of the Monkees, isn't it weird that Mickey Dolenz, Davy Jones & Peter Tork had all hosted TOTP at various times within weeks of each other in 1968, but the Monkees as a whole unit never ever appeared on the show.
