I thought the archive was virtually complete. When does the clip date from? AFAIK the Beatclub and Musikladen archives are complete. They've also got loads of the raw studio recording tapes too from the Seventies era, often with additional songs on etc. My guess is that the Slade clip comes from such a tape - the clip which ended up actually making the final edit being the familiar one of "Coz I Luv You". Slade Alive DVD 06/02/06 Slade Alive was the first live album to crash into the British charts at the number one slot. It was this mighty recording which proved to the world that Slade were not just a singles band. Here was the hard evidence that the fans had known all along: Slade were a great live band who could rock out with the best of them. This is the independent critical guide to the album that rocked the world drawing on rare performances featuring previously unreleased performances from TV archives around the world featuring the views of the band in 1972 contrasted with the reflections of the critics today. BONUS FEATURES * Complete live performances by Slade from 1972 Featuring * Hear Me Calling * Look Wot You Dun * Darling Be Home Soon * Coz I Luv You * Get Down and Get WIth It * Born To Be Wild THIS COULD BE GRANADA TV SET OF SIX AS TX 1972 AS THE LAST SLADE DVD THIS OUTFIT BOUGHT OUT FEATURES QUITE A BIT FROM THE ITN ARCHIVE( GRANADA) and SET OF SIX WAS ON THE VERY BEST OF SLADE DVD RELEASED IN NOVEMBER LAST YEAR But who knows?

yeah it's on the very first album Beginings as Ambrose Slade And they (who by this time became plain Slade) performed the track, On BBC's Alan Price Show in Nov 1969 which has had a repeat showing on TOTP2 and they also performed their first single under the name Slade "wild winds are blowing" on the programme. garybrum.blogspot.com/

I got the 'Slade Alive' DVD today expecting to find this rare Beat Club performance. But all that's been included is the already released Set Of 6, albeit with the credits intact this time around. But a real let down not to find Beat Club.

I have the song "Here me callin" from Beat Club in excellent quality. It was on DVD 40 Anniversary Beat Club. They are two discs including many not showed videos from Beat Club. For example Santana "Samba pa ti". kosjan52@wp.pl
