The Sticky Fingers NME show on BBC4 uses the fragment of RSG in colour.
Cathy McGowan and all the groovy guys and gals bopping away on the dancefloor.
Presume it was the same clip that is occassionally aired on Open University Late Night bbc2.
Anyone else know anything about it?
Pathe have a black and white mute clip of kids dancing on RSG.

Hi Kev, I have seen some fairly good quality, steadily filmed home movies from Ready Steady Go in colour which looked almost good enough to have been professionally shot. Think someone on the show (one of the RSG staffers) filmed it. Maybe this was what you saw? But almost certainly none of the eps were ever filmed in colour by Rediffusion. Happy to be corrected on this though. Cheers Larry PS - and before anybody asks if I have this stuff, no I don't. A mate in London showed me about 20 seconds of some colour stuff and it was pretty bloody good. He had about 15 mins I think.

When the DC highlights shows were first being shown on C4 in 1985 I recall reading an interview with Cathy McGowan in one of the tabloids in which she said the last RSG was filmed in colour.

yes it has a home movie feel to it.
Can't remember the show on OU. Something like TV and the 60's.

About 18 months ago, ITV showed THE FIFTIES AND SIXTIES IN COLOUR, which had about 30 seconds of RSG in colour from film. This was recorded by someone who was watching a show being made.

There is a bit of colour film footage of RSG being made (cameras in shot, director in gallery etc, bands being taped etc) that was used in a doc (I think), although I can't recall the name now. This clip has turned up in a few programmes before now. I have it myself somewhere. This is probably the source of the material.
