Hi Peter. When I just found out about your wonderful VidFIRE process the other weekend I did a search on google for "VidFIRE" and the first thing that came up is VidFIRE.com "Snappy Video - the home of VidFIRE technology". When I tried to access the site I got a "404 Not Found" error message indicating the website is no longer there.
Anyhow I was wondering what happened to the VidFIRE site? And will there be another VidFIRE website up sometime in the near future?
Just as I've only recently found out about VidFIRE I never got a chance to browse the website and read all the ins and outs and whatever detail on VidFIRE that was on the site.
Anyways I hope there will be a chance you might put up another VidFIRE site in the near future, if you are that would be fantastic.
Cheers Troy

I sold the rights to VidFIRE to another company last year Troy, so it would have been inappropriate for me to continue hosting a website for something I didn't own. I think (though I'm not sure) the new owners may be revamping the website later this year.
You're not missing anything to be honest, as the site was simply a point of contact for any broadcast or DVD/video companies that were interested in using the process. Although the site had plenty of hits (mainly from Dr Who fans I think) there was no real interest. The site didn't contain any detailed information on how the process works, any more than the KFC website tells you what's in their seasoning recipe. Thanks for the interest though.
Cheers,
Peter

Oh dear Peter! history repeats itself yet again ie. you (and your contemporary Kevin in the States) struggling against corporate mentality. When it takes off i hope you are both there holding out your hands.

Hi Peter. Thanks for the info. I'll have to keep an eye out if they put up a VidFIRE site.
