So last night for the first time i think since transmission in 1969 the BBC showed the Cream Albert Hall show in full (well full in the 55 minute version) from the Video tape version and not the horrable colour telerecording that normally gets shown (and released on DVD), this is a classic bit of television not least for being one of the earliest rock music obs to be filmed direct to 2" and kept! and proves this was actualyl a stunning gig, and is also with noring that this iriginal version has commentry from Pete Drummond and was re done by Patrick Allan from the Stigwood version.

Did anyone record this and the Clapton compilation on DVD? If you can make a copy for me, please get in touch.

While on the subject does this exist or is it a myth: According to Harry Shapiro (Eric Clapton:Lost in the Blues) Cream performed two songs for (the Rolling Stones Rock'n'Roll Circus), an instrumental plus a song called Everybody. Apparently, these have surfaced as bootlegs. www.angelfire.com/ca/oldtimers/passingthetime.htmlAnd I remeber seeing many, many years ago a TV programme on the Goodbye Cream Album photo session, does this exist?

I missed this. I'm glad they at least have it in this form. I wonder if it'll be released on DVD? The VT version, that is - not the telerecording (which i'm not interested in). I wonder if anyone recorded it? Need to locate a copy...

I saw some brief clips of this on (of all places) Sky News. I would love to get a DVD of this in full. Never having seen the VT version I was astonished to see the quality.
Had any re-mastering / restoration been done on the original BBC VT's ?

it had a few colour bleeds during the slomo section of Toad, no remastering just a stright repeat interesting that the commentry was done by pete drummond and not patrick allen on the stigwood version.
also the intro segment shows them doing politicians from the first show, as when the BBC filmed the forst show they had a camera furthur out for wide shots, the second show (the the bulk of the concert was from) didn't.
Id laso like to know what is on the b&w Teletrecording thte was used for the rock n roll years as it shows the peel introduction plus white room from the second show (and not the first show thats on the video).
Matt
and I did dvd all of it.
