I recently heard a self penned Nillsson track 'Coconut' reminding me of the disappontment at the Nillson items appearing on BBC2 around the release time of 'without you'. These were 'In concert' and 'The point' (an animation). Think these both survive. There was nothing up to the standard of 'without you' which was omitted, later I found out penned by Badfinger. I seem to recall a promo film for the song on 'Top of the pops'. In this Nillson is seen in a dressing gown (like the 'Nillsson Schmillson L.P.' cover) wandering round a living room. He then stands looking out onto a garden through open french windows with the camera panning out. This was the footage I remember originally being used for the songs release. However I thought it would survive as it featured Nillsson and didn't appear to be a TOTP film? There was also a special, late night 1973, BBC2 in which Nillson sang popular songs from the 20s - 30s by composers like Cole Porter. They included 'Time Goes by' with a live orchestra in Peter Skellern style. This was 'A little bit of Schmillsson in the night' and an L.P. from it came out. can anyone expand or does anyone know if these items survive? Perhaps Andrew Martin can help?

Interesting to note the 17/2/72 TOTP film. This sounds like it's what I recall. The only conclusion I have is that, as with other TOTP films, lookalike actors of the artists or shots from an L.P. sleeve featuring them; (i.e. the Nilsson cover I recall, him standing in a dressing gown by door or windows); were used.
