Anyone bought this yet?
Anyone know why the original version of 'Games Without Frontiers' was not used?
VH1/VH1 Classic have shown a colour film version of the orignal video, but I'm sure I've seen a clip of this off VT on a UK Gold repeat of a TOTP.
Am I right, & if so what happened to the original VT version ?
(Slightly off topic, anyone spot the 'editing mistake' on the 'Steam' video?
It's the section where Gabriel & one of the dancers are in a room(roughly the middle!), & he transforms her from her normal self, wearing jeans & t-shirt, to a nun, then a tart/stripper, then she transforms herself back to her jeans/t-shirt outfit, which is where the 'error' happens.
She picks up the 'hula hoop' video effect & 'lifts it up', so gradually she changes her outfit from the tart/stripper, to the jeans/T-shirt. At this point, the pair of gloves she's wearing are outside the video effect, but once the effect reaches her waist, you notice, while she's half changed her outfit, but she's still wearing the gloves & as she 'lifts' the hoop up to neck height, so she's now wearing the t-shirt, but she's still wearing the gloves!
The gloves only suddenly disappear when the hoop is over her head!)
(Before anyone asks, it was strictly research only!)

I have the DVD but haven't had the time to sit and watch it all yet. I did have a quick listen to "Sledgehammer" just to hear how the surround mix plays and anyone who has 5.1 set up should take a listen.

Read the booklet that comes with the DVD. It seems Peter Gabriel himself wanted to try some new ideas for the video.
