All sorts of stuff, but most pertinently here, he directed the (unreleased?) on-the-road documentary covering a 1965 Stones tour, "Charlie Is My Darling." thanks for that, also didn't I read somewhere that George Lucas filmed the 69 Gimmie shelter doc? “We love you” was shown in its’ entirety on the BBC’s late night “Video jukebox” programme of May 1986, the first hour or so was absolutely spellbinding, I could go as far to say it changed my life (having not been around to witness this stuff at the time). It did feel to me that the late 60s were being written out of history in the early-mid 1980’s by TV and Radio, it was very hard to see or hear anything Rock orientated from that period, so it was a god-send. They showed Eric Burdon’s “When i was young”, which I was also hearing for the first time, they showed “Strawberry fields” & “Penny Lane” in colour, “Lady Jane” was on it, a TOTP film of “Tears of a clown” from 1970, John Peel was co-hosting it, it was just a magical night and then all of a sudden it turned all 1980’s again and the magic was gone. this sounds good, do you have a list of what was on it?
