I’ve just watched an American produced [1992] documentary on the Yardbirds. I’m intrigued, bearing in mind the oft described paucity of British material available what programme the featured the1964 performances of ‘Louise’ and ‘I wish you would’ would be from [they were played nearly in full]. They are on perfect [b/w] VT and are merely captioned ‘UK TV 1964’. The set has Keith Relf up above the band to the left. Granada TV is the only British archive source mentioned in the credits
For the record the other clips [some played in full] are: I wish you would –Dutch TV 1965 [TR] I’m a man/ Heart full of Soul US TV 1965 [TR} Still I’m sad/ For your love Belgian TV 1965 [TR] Shindig goes to London-Richmond festival 1965 [For your love and Hang on sloopy-live] VT I think NME concert 1966 Train kept a rollin [full] Shapes of things [slightly fuzzy VT] Happenings 10 years ago US 1966 [TR] Happenings/ I’m a man German TV 1967 [perfect VT] Dazed and confused French TV 1967

Yes, i've got this doc myself and have long wondered about the source of those UK clips. Granada, Tyne Tees or Anglia seem the only likely candidates for the programme source though as they are the only ones that seem to have much VT from the '60s.
It's an interesting programme, full of good clips. As with all these things though, it makes you want full versions of the featured songs.
Anybody know what show these clips hail from?
