Dylan’s long lost January 1963 TV appearance on the BBC play “Madhouse on Castle Street” was mentioned on “Newsnight” last night in an interview with the director for a piece on Bob’s autobiography (“Late Review” will be reviewing it on Friday). I wonder if the play was repeated at some stage as two songs performed by Dylan partially exist in poor quality audio. Was the 1964 “Tonight” appearance (inevitably used again last night) his only other appearance on British TV before the accident?
