Just a thought but seeing as cliff has been around since the very begining of british pop tv , he must have built up quite a substantial personal archive. Any lost programmes there ??

Is Cliff one of these artists, that is 'funny' about some of his stuff being reshown on the likes of TOTP2?
I know from going through my recordings of TOTP2 over the years, that at least his performances of 'All My Love', 'Big Ship(?)', 'Devil Woman' & 'We Don't Talk Anymore', from TOTP have been shown at least once, but what about his other surviving performances from the 70's & 80's ? (Hotshot, My Pretty One etc)
In fact, which artists are the most awkrard about archive performances being reshown?
Technically who owns the copyright on the performances anyway?
If it's the Beeb, the artists shouldn't have a say anyway IMO !

If the TR or Video was given to him as part of a deal to apear, then he owns the right to his own copy, if its an off air then legaly he does not own it as it was obtianed without permission, but if he does have off air recordings, then the bbc would have to take legal action to get them. So essentialy if he has recordings the bbc would have to come to some deal unless he handed them over
re big ship, this doesn't exist in the totp archive so was it a promo?

It was 'Good Times' from 1969, complete with slightly dodgy soundtrack ISTR, but I could be wrong, 'cause I ain't watched the clip for ages !

Yonks ago I remember watching a series called "It's Cliff Richard" and it had Melvyn and Una and Hank and the rest of the gang in it. I remember quite enjoying it as a small child - I don't think it has ever been repeated - does the show still exist somewhere in the vaults?

some colour clips do at least (shown on "This Is Your Life"?) showing cliff and hank at an aiport departure desk set, looked a bit fuzzy probably NTSC, according to the IMDB it ran from 1970-1974 and from 1972 also starred Olivia Newton- John but I don't know how much of it survives, probably either 90% complete or almost 100% gone
