I haven't had any luck so far with my video requests, so I'm trying again. I'm looking for DVD-R or VHS copies of complete Top of the Pops shows from September 1984 and December 1988 (except the year end round up show). Although I am in the U.S., I have a PAL capable, multi region DVD player, and would transfer VHS tapes to NTSC.
Some of the artists and songs from September 1984 were John Waite-Missing You, Ray Parker Jr.-Ghostbusters, Bronski Beat-Why, Elton John-Passengers, Nik Kershaw-Human Racing,Alphaville-Big in Japan, and others. From December 1988, this would be performances from artists like Cliff Richard-Mistletoe and Wine, Erasure-Stop, Bananarama-Nathan Jones, Petula Clark-Downtown '88 remix, Bon Jovi-Born to Be My Baby, Kylie and Jason-Especially For You, and more.
Have lots of Bruce Springsteen; Beatles; Kate Bush; EastEnders; German TOTP shows -mostly from 2001 and 2002; and other video to trade, or B & P.
If you have the footage, I could add a few Japanese commercials (1st gen.) from 1995 to the trade. For example, I have two Ringo Starr commercials advertising Apple Juice; a commercial for the Japanese broadcast of The Beatles Anthology; Windows 95; a car commercial with Mel Gibson; and one for Seiko watches (can't remember, but it might be Paul Newman in it). And, I'll add in a dub of my 1st gen. copy of the 1971 Coca Cola commercial with people on a hillside singing "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" .
Please send me an e-mail if you can be of any help. There has to be someone who taped TOTP shows from these two time periods. Thanks!
