Mention of the musical performances by interesting artistes on "Opportunity Knocks" got me thinking..would anyone out there have a lost of musical performances on "Blue Peter" from the 1960s? There's some great stuff that I know of (DDDBM+T, Pinkerton's, Unit 4+2 etc), and I'm thinking the show might be a great upntapped source for, f'r instance, "TOTP2." Kaleidoscope don't list any of the bands in their otherwise tasty guide. What do other shades think?

The Kal Kids book has an extensive list (of hundreds of pages) detailing all the items in Blue Peter.
Yes, there are several surviving pop acts throughout the show's run. The 1960s especially has the more kid-friendly acts of the day.

Talking of Blue Peter. Did anyone catch yesterdays show (Mon 14 June)? I missed it but wanted to see this show. Radio Times said it was celebrating 40 years of Top Of The Pops.

They had some PP clips (the usual montage), plus a rarer (and far shorter) 16 Feb 1976 insert where Lesley Judd danced on TOTP the previous week. The only surviving part of that edition. Then some kids TV women did an apalling dance a la PP. Of interest only for the Judd clip...
