Digressing, I recently looked up the drama entry holdings for SCENE (BBC). Andrew Martin pointed out previously that the holdings for the show generally are good from 1975 onwards.
Lookiing up the drama holdings though, the holdings overall are pretty comprehensive. I believe of series 1 (7 entries - ?) 3 exist. The entries held are good entries. I seem to recall 'LAST BUS' only ever having been run from a T/R though? TERRY was almost certainly still being shown from its VT master in the 72 - 73 period.
The series following this don't show large gaps, so this is a pleasing archive holding.

ATV - being ATV - probably junked a lot of their schools material many years ago (although this is conjecture based on knowledge of the general patchiness of their archive generally in the '70s). I expect there are odd epidoes here and there though - does anyone know for sure? I can confirm that quite a fair amount of ATV's schools output does still exist albeit stored in various locations.

Can you elaborate on this at all? I have long wondered what exactly survives of the '60s schools output from the various companies but no one seems to be able to give a clear answer. What period do these shows cover and have these come to light recently? Why are they stored at scattered locations and will these be transferred along with the other ATV material as it is catalogued digitised? Any info gratefully received.

Did any UK broadcasters import any shows from TV Ontario, like "Readalong" or "Read All About It"? I've been wondering if these still exist.

Not sure Wright, 'read all about it' might have? I think schools progs are very foggy memories for most, simply because they were at school or if you were at home 'sick' if you watched them

A talking tv screen and a typewriter communicated through the words it typed out helped them out (this was the late 70's, remember. The concepts of word processors was still new.)
