Totp Late 80's edition - minus captions!

I've found a UK Gold repeat transmission of a June 89 edition in the video collection, which had no song captions !

Presenters were 'Woo' Gary Davies & Anthea 'Pre Cadbury's Snowflake' Turner.

I think it was a live/Radio 1 simulcast.

Surely captions would've been on originally, so how did it end up like this on UKG ?

Perhaps a clean copy of the show was made with a view that the clips may be re-used elsewhere at a later date (ie TOTP2)
